Mudras are physical gestures, often with the hands, used in yoga to direct the flow of energy in the body. This month, we’ll use the Buddhi mudra, which enhances access to inner knowledge, creating balance between your physical and internal world.
Sit comfortably cross-legged (sukasana pose) or on a chair. Rest your forearms on your thighs, palms facing up. Breathe three long breaths through your nose.
On both hands, touch your little finger pad, which symbolises water and communication, to your thumb pad, which represents divine nature and fire.
Breathe in an intention of flow between your inner wisdom, and your conscious mind. Imagine a channel between the two flowing like a river. Hold the hand pose for two minutes or longer.
