A study by the Co-op and the British Red Cross found that over 9 million adults in the UK feel lonely often or always. And in a survey by Action for Children 43% of 17 โ€“ 25 year olds that used their service said they had experienced feelings of loneliness. Less than half of these individuals said they felt loved.
