Ever feel defeated by numbers?

If anything numerical has always been a bit tricky, you might be affected by dyscalculia

Ever feel defeated by numbers?

Do you ever mix up phone numbers and dial or write them in the wrong order, or falter for a second when the satnav tells you to take the next right turn?

Essentially a specific development disorder like dyslexia, dyscalculia is often known as number blindness, as individuals with it have difficulty learning or understanding arithmetic.

But unlike dyslexia, it is notoriously difficult to diagnose, though having trouble with calculations is a common symptom; and deciphering zeroes can also be problematic.

Those with dyscalculia can also have trouble reading the time, handling money or struggle with orientation, including map-reading and knowing their left from their right.
